Beyond Technology & Antibiotics

kalpavriksh — Beyond Technology & Antibiotics

India is moving ahead with industrialisation, and over a period of time, millions have got out of their poverty, thanks to technology and industry. The nation will have many challenges to face, and the most important one will be to create an effective national health care system. Cardiovascular diseases and diabetes have spread like epidemics in our country. Findings show that over 40% of the population is anaemic, primarily due to improper diet that lacks nutrition and errant lifestyle.

Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, says, “For where there is love of man, there is also love of the art of healing. For some patients, though conscious that their position is perilous, recover their health simply through their contentment with the physician”.

Effective health care can be achieved when technology is used judiciously in conjunction with the ancient principles of healing. Dr Bernard Lown, eminent cardiologist, says that what health care demands is medicine with a human face.

Kalpavriksh, the Ayurvedic centre for ethical healing and optimum wellness, has strived all along to avoid becoming a business. Healing and patient wellness are our priorities. Our family of doctors and therapists experience the joy of healing in the day-to-day challenges in attending to various ailments. This in itself is a learning and fulfilling experience. Absolutely no compromise is made in the quaity of the therapies.

Kalpavriksh wants to contribute its mite to the health care system by providing yearly Ayurvedia holidays for rejuvenation. This will be in the scenic environs of Maharashtra where families and individuals can spend quality time with emphasis on regaining total health in mind and body in a natural, non-invasive manner. Healthy sattvic organic food will be served. This is how we take care of our health in the real sense.

No part of our body is ‘dispensable’, be it the appendix, the thyroid gland or the gangrenous toe…even though we may have an insurance cover on the medical bills.
