A wonder drug of Ayurveda called APD(AMLAPITTANTAK)

APD syrup is a time tested formulation for gastric disorders which has been in use for almost six decades. Formulated by Vaidhyakalanidhi Dr K S Gangadharan and perfected by his experience of treating lakhs of gastric patients APD is undoubtedly one of the most effective gastroprotective drug available in Ayurveda.

  APD contains Aloe vera, Plumbago zeylanicum, withania somnifera, ocimum sanctum, tinospora cordifolia, cuminum cyminum, coriandrum sativum, strychnos nuxvomica elettaria cardamomum etc…

  In APD Plumbago zeylanicum is having an important role in the healing of ulcers. As per the latest research in Taiwaneese folk medicine anti h-pylori effect has been found highest in this drug. As we all know modern scientists consider h-pylori as ulcer causing bacteria.

   Aloe vera is another important drug in APD. It is a known H2 Receptor blocker and has a lot of mucilaginous substances which reduce acidity and improves the motility of the GIT.

Nuxvomica is another such drug which is highly bitter in taste and hence an excellent cholagogue action which increase the secretion of bile and also enhance the healing of ulcers.

Tinospora cordifolia is an excellent anti inflammatory drug which reduce the gastritis and the bitterness enhance the secretion of enzymes.

Withania somnifera is having a gastric sedative effect and thereby improves the pain caused by the infection and ulcers.

Other drugs like elettaria ,coriandrum and  cardamomum are good carminative drugs, improves digestion and eliminates the gas formed in the intestine.

All these drugs are combines in a specific ratio in APD which gives a complete cure in Gastric disorders like Hyper Acidity, Gaseous abdomen, flatulence, gastritis, indigestion, nausea and Ulcers.
